About email notifications for new text messages

Email Notifications

Keeyora already provides several ways to make sure you don't miss an incoming text message, including:

  • Browser notifications on your computer

  • Keeyora widget notifications

  • Mobile push notifications through the Keeyora mobile app

In most cases, we recommend using these notifications rather than email.

After all, part of the reason Keeyora exists is to help move candidate and talent conversations out of your already-busy email inbox. Adding every unread text back into your inbox can somewhat defeat the purpose.

That said, we know some users prefer an additional layer of notification. For those users, we can enable Email Notifications on request.

How Email Notifications work

When Email Notifications are enabled, Keeyora monitors incoming text messages that haven't been read.

If an incoming message remains unread for more than 10 minutes, we'll send an email notification to your Keeyora email address.

If you read the message within those 10 minutes, no email is sent.

The email is intended as a backup notification. The text message itself still needs to be viewed and responded to within Keeyora.

Should I enable Email Notifications?

We recommend first making sure your existing Keeyora notifications are enabled and working correctly, particularly browser and mobile notifications.

Email Notifications may be useful if you regularly miss those notifications or your workflow means you're more likely to notice an email.

Keep in mind that enabling this feature can result in more emails in your inbox, particularly if you receive a high volume of incoming text messages.

Requesting Email Notifications

Email Notifications are not enabled by default.

If you've tried Keeyora's existing notification options and would still like email notifications as an additional backup, you can request access through the Support tab in Keeyora.

Send us a quick message requesting Email Notifications, and our support team can enable them for your account.
